On the first Thursday of every month, The Gallery at 200 Lex will debut “The Gallery After Dark,” an ongoing series of extended shopping hours and special programming. Spend these special Thursdays learning about up-and-coming artists, newly released books, specialty cocktails, delicious food, and of course shopping. This inviting series of design and cultural evenings will have guests eager to explore the expansive 10th floor at the New York Design Center and experience “The Gallery After Dark”.
On February 2, 2017, the New York Design Center celebrated the launch of “The Gallery After Dark” with a literary night in collaboration with Pointed Leaf Press featuring book signings by five design icons. Guests met the authors of the titles Chateu des Fleurs by William Hefner, Learning from Longhouse by Jack Lenor Larsen, Curtain Up! by Barbara Ostrom, Outside the Box by David Scott and Living Color by Gary McBournie and purchase a signed copy of these beautiful books.
Chateu des Fleurs is a documentation on the creation of one of the most unique and exquisite homes in Los Angeles, by William Hefner; Learning from Longhouse, a book about beautiful gardens by the renowned textile innovator, Jack Lenor Larsen; Curtain Up! which gives us thirty years of spectacular showhouse rooms by Barbara Ostrom; Outside the Box, showing us an interior designer’s innovative approach to creating chic and comfortable rooms by David Scott; and Living Color, a book about how designer, Gary McBournie, works magic with traditional interiors.
