Join Christine Soulier, Director of Decorative Hardware, for a presentation of the history of "La Serrurerie Francais" (French Decorative Locksmithing). Soulier will highlight projects done by Fontaine Paris, makers of fine decorative knobs, pulls, and handles for the kings, queens, and royalty of France from 18th century to present day. Examples included will be from the original construction of Versailles, the Louvre and the Palais Royale. The pieces draw inspiration from a grand 1920's apartment owned by Mademoiselle who returns to Paris in Autumn 2012 to find her residence refurbished in her own distinct and elegant style. The collection also introduces the new Christopher Guy "Coco" wood finish, rich in dark brown hues. This finish will be seen on the majority of cabinets, chairs and tables in the exciting new collection.
