Join Christine Soulier, Director of Decorative Hardware, for a presentation of the history of "La Serrurerie Francais" (French Decorative Locksmithing). Soulier will highlight projects done by Fontaine Paris, makers of fine decorative knobs, pulls, and handles for the kings, queens, and royalty of France from 18th century to present day. Examples included will be from the original construction of Versailles, the Louvre and the Palais Royale. Soulier will also highlight 20th century projects designed by Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann as well as 21st century residential, hotel, and boutique projects for today's prominent interior designers and architects. Meet the designer Tim Byrnes, founder and owner of Get Back Inc. Byrnes will speak about the concept of the Wall System, describing the creative process, and the changes and improvements that occurred while developing this product. The Dept 87 Wall System, the most versatile wall unit available, will be presented in various configurations. The unit possess adjustable options and accessories such as shelves, desk surfaces, cabinets, dresser drawers, clothing racks and a bar cabinet. It can also transform to a closet, entertainment system, storage center and more!

The pieces draw inspiration from a grand 1920's apartment owned by Mademoiselle who returns to Paris in Autumn 2012 to find her residence refurbished in her own distinct and elegant style. The collection also introduces the new Christopher Guy "Coco" wood finish, rich in dark brown hues. This finish will be seen on the majority of cabinets, chairs and tables in the exciting new collection.
