Why use a designer?

A designer is an excellent source for buyers to help them bring their ideas to life. The client just needs to be able to communicate in some way what they have in mind. Then let the designer put it all together- voila!

Why shop the trade?

Why wouldn’t you shop the trade?! You can walk into a retailer but you are paying top dollar and you won’t have the flexibility to customize a piece as easily. Through the trade, almost anything is possible!

What is your most valued design tip?

Love what you buy!! There are so many wonderful vendors and items available to us – the options are limitless. I never want a client to feel as though they are settling for something.

What makes your style unique?

I always like to keep things looking clean. Whether that is through color- a pale blue often will give a room a clean serene feeling, or through furniture with clean lines. I want a space to feel like a place you can relax in.

Who is your design icon and why?

Mark Hampton. He always covered every surface of a room and yet it never felt like it was too much.

What is your ideal getaway/escape?

St. Barths! Breathtaking beaches and the food- HEAVEN!

What is your favorite movie set?

Any 1950s film starring Grace Kelly.

If you could live in a different time period, when would it be and why?

Without question, I would want to be in France in the 1700s…more specifically in Versailles. The way they dressed and the furniture! Wow, if only time travel were a possibility!
