A Very Presidential Holiday
Pennoyer Newman Featured at the White House
Dec 22, 2011
We're proud to report that amongst our new tenants, Pennoyer Newman, LLC, creators of distinctive garden pots cast from estate originals, was selected by The White House to create over 50 planters for their Holiday installations this year. The Fern Urn, as shown here, appears in the East Room's Grand Ballroom. Other planters appeared in the Palm Room, the Vermier Room, the National entrance areas and more. Each planter is cast and replicated by hand, one at a time, in New York City, as a testament to preserving both the beauty of rare and beautiful planters and production in the United States.
Grand and ornate planters once added a certain luxury to well-known country estates. Years later, exact replicas at an affordable price have been made available through Pennoyer Newman LLC, a company well known for using their planters during the White House Christmas celebrations (as pictured) and in Bryant Park, as well as on the rooftops of Rockefeller Center, the Morgan Library and the New York Botanical Garden.
The genius behind these garden pots is that they look exactly like their lead originals, but they weigh a fraction less due to their resin stone composition and can easily be moved by one person throughout a garden or rooftop terrace.
Perfect for indoor or outdoor use, the pots and planters are weather resistant in all climates and regions and match any design style with their hand-finished and well-worn antique looks.
