Showroom Spotlight: Modern Living Supplies

Modern Living Supplies opened in New York City in 2001 as a simple vintage shop. Owner, Mark Naylon, earned his B.F.A. in Furniture-Interior Design from SUNY-Buffalo, and started making furniture in 1993 while apprenticing with a master furniture craftsman. His shop quickly grew to a full-service, mid-century furniture destination, featuring custom pieces, restored furnishings and M|n Originals, Mark’s own line of period-inspired creations with a timeless visage.

Naylon opened a Modern Living Supplies booth on the 1stdibs at NYDC floor, before bringing his own line to a showroom on the fourth floor. The brand and business provide a tailored design resource to countless area and national architects, interior designers and consumers.

M|n Originals is headquartered in Suite 408 in a handsome new showroom featuring the Benchmade in NY collection.  Of his recently established home base, Mark says “I feel the NYDC is the new beginning of how my designer clients will shop with us as I believe the brick and mortar experience is strengthened with having amazing showroom neighbors all under the same roof, which works well for the designer and the showrooms alike.”
